Hello Lions Head South… Here are your messages for this week.

The following tickets will be sold tomorrow morning in the clubhouse from 9:30-11:00 AND tomorrow

evening before the residents meeting from 6:30-7PM..:

The Social Committee will be selling tickets at $25 each for their outdoor Local Summer Party on Sunday, September 8th from 4-8PM.

Tickets include entertainment by Steve and Debbie and a buffet

including fried chicken and ribs. Tomorrow morning’s sale is for residents only, but tickets will also be available for guests tomorrow night.

-The Women’s Club will be selling tickets at $10 each for their Bagels and Bingo event on August 21st. Tickets include 1 free bingo card and a

continental breakfast. Doors open at 9:30.

-The Women’s Club will also be taking orders for the last time for their mum sale. The 9” pots are $6 each or 3 pots for $16.

Delivery will be in September. Make checks payable to LHSA.

-The Men’s Club will be selling tickets at $25 each for the last time for the Bob Scott Game Show on August 15 th at 5PM

Tickets include a sandwich buffet, chips, treats, dessert and soft drinks.

The Men’s Club will also be selling Mega 50/50 raffle tickets at $5 each.

In other news…

The movie, “Ruby”, a true story of an incorrigible shelter dog who rose to great heights, will be shown in the Lions Den on Sunday, August 18 th at 2PM.

-A free “Work’em Out” arms exercise demonstration will be offered in the fitness center to residents on Tuesday, August 27th and Thursday, August 29th from 6:30-7:15pm. Sign-up is required on the Recreation bulletin board in the clubhouse.

 -A reminder that league bowling will begin on Friday, September 6th.

-And last, the pool water is being treated and balanced. As soon as we have clearance from our water testing company,

a pool opening date will be announced by the Board of Trustees.
