Hello Lions Head South…Here are your messages for this week…Please note that all ticket sales are from 9:30-11:00 tomorrow morning in the clubhouse.
From Deb Rogers: The Community Awareness Committee will be taking names and payments for the AARP Defense Driving Course tomorrow morning. The fee is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. Please bring your check with you, payable to AARP. Members are asked to include your membership number on your check. The course will be held on Wednesday, August 16th from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm in the Lions Den. Doors open at 8am for sign-in and a continental breakfast. There is a limit of 25 participants for this event.
From Bob Pedersen: The Men’s Club will be giving out ice cream at the pool on July 30th and August 27th Fundays from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. On July 25th the Men’s Club will be conducting their Beaverson Blvd. clean up detail. There is signup sheet posted on the Men’s Club bulletin board. Volunteers are requested to meet at the Clubhouse at 8:30 am – coffee and donuts will be served.
Tickets to the annual Blue Claws Baseball game on August 18th will be available beginning July 17th . The tickets will cost $40.00 and will include a buffet dinner and reserve seating on the 3rd base party deck, and weather permitting, there will be fireworks.
From Lynn Adams: Please be advised of the following pool changes beginning the week of Monday, July 17th: Pool hours on Tuesdays and Fridays are now 10 am to 8:30 pm. We ask that you revisit our pool rules about returning chairs and lounges to their place, vaping, and children’s hours.
On another note, Recreation is pleased to announce a Pickleball Clinic scheduled for Thursday, July 27th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm; rain date is Thursday, August 3rd Paddles will be supplied for those who need them. Please see the Recreation board for clinic details and sign up prior to July 24th.
Please be advised that the Movie Matinee scheduled for Sunday, July 23rd has been replaced by an additional Sunday Funday by the pool with DJ Louie from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Come splish splash while listening and dancing to music.
