Hello Lions Head South… Here are your messages for this week… Please note that all ticket sales are from 9:30-11:00 tomorrow morning in the clubhouse...

From the Board of Trustees: A reminder to all residents that next Sunday, August 20th, will be the closing date for the pool for all residents, with the exception of the Aquafit class which will be held on Monday the 21st. This will give our maintenance staff the time needed to remove the pool furniture and make other necessary preparations in order for the contractors to begin their work on the new pool.

From Lynn Adams: In accordance with the pool closing message you just heard, please be advised that the Sunday Funday Wild West themed event which was originally planned at the pool on August 27th will now be held indoors in the Lions Den from 12:30 to 5:00 pm with a Farewell Pool tribute. Your $5 cash only ticket for this BYOB event will include a lunch consisting of hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, chips, water, DJ Louie and a 50/50 raffle. In addition, the Men’s Club will be providing ice cream.

From Marcene Talty: The LHCC will present a comedy show starring Chris Monty, a well known comedian to this community, on Saturday, Aug. 26th. Doors will open at 6pm and the show will begin at 7pm. Tickets are $25 per person and will be sold beginning tomorrow morning. All are welcome to attend this BYOB event. Refreshments, snacks, coffee, tea and water will be served.

From Bob Pedersen: Tickets will be sold tomorrow morning for the Blue Claws event to be held on August 18th. The $40 ticket includes a buffet dinner and reserve seating on the third base party deck, with fireworks if weather permits. Also, tickets at $5 each will continue to be sold for the 2023 Mega 50/50 Raffle.

From Deb Rodgers: A reminder to all who signed up for the AARP Defensive Diving Course on Wednesday, August 16th: Doors open at 8am for continental breakfast and registration. Class starts at 8:30am. Please remember to bring your driver’s license, AARP card (if you’re a member), lunch and drink.

Also from Deb Rodgers: With the approval of the Board of Trustees, The Community Awareness Committee is happy to announce The Town-Wide Yard Sale is on for September 9th, 8am-2pm. You must register with Brick Township to participate. The cost is $5 per home. Some copies of the registration forms are posted on the bulletin board for your convenience. You can also print it yourself from the town website. The township website will have additional information. Please note that you must place the items for sale on your driveway or in your garage only. Items may not be placed on the lawn.

From Margaret DeFillipo: A reminder from the Architectural Committee that no work shall commence on your home until your Architectural Application is approved and you pick up your permit to display in your front window.

From Tia Katakozinos: The Security Committee wishes to remind residents that Brick Police Department representatives will be our guest speakers at the residents meeting tomorrow evening at 7pm.

From Bonnie Luton: Attention Lions Head South Chorus members: On Tuesday, September 5th, at 12 noon, Tino will be showing the LHS chorus a video of our Spring Show, and I would like this time to be a little celebration for the chorus. The hope is that we will each chorus member will bring something to share, such as fruit/veggies, chips/dip, desserts, etc. Angela Trilivas will coordinate so please call Angela at 732-451-2460 and tell her your ideas. Bring your own beverage. Also, our first rehearsal is Monday, Sept. 18th at 1:30 pm. Music and rehearsal schedules will be given out. Come and bring a friend! All are welcome to join our chorus!
