FROM PETER BRENNAN--The Lions Head Fun Bowling League is having a bowling meeting in the Lion’s Den on Friday, August 26th at 10:00 am. We bowl on Friday mornings at 9 am at Ocean Lanes on Rt 88 and Chambers Bridge Rd. This league has been around for over 20 years. We are expanding with additional bowlers and at this mtg will be discussing teams, fees, rules, officers, and ending dates. Please attend if you wish to join.


FROM BARRY STROTHMANN—call Barry at 201-693-8759 if you are interested in bowling on Tuesday evenings at 6 pm at Ocean Lanes. Starting Sept. 13th. 3 people to a team, $15 per night, 100% handicapped-no bowling knowledge needed.


FROM JIM MORT—Applications for the Brian Halm Annual Tournament are available at the LHCC clubhouse everyday. Register for the tournament ASAP, the cutoff is Sept. 12th. Date of tournament is Sept. 24th, cost $30 per person. Register as a single or as a foursome. Prizes for closest to the Pin and line worth $1000 will be awarded plus a $2500 Putting contest sponsored by Shorrock Gardens. There is a continental breakfast starting at 7 am and an awards luncheon at approximately 1:30 pm.

FROM THE MEN'S CLUB—Blue Claws tickets will be replaced for Sept. 7th on Monday morning in the clubhouse from 9:30-11 am. There are also a few tickets available to buy. Party Deck Dinner, $40 each.

LHS WOMEN'S CLUB will be taking orders and accepting prepaying for MUMS starting Mon, 9:30-11am in the clubhouse. There are 4 colors of mums, $7 per plant. Sales will continue Monday mornings until Sept. 10th.


TRAVEL will be selling tickets on Monday for the Atlantic City trip to Resorts on Sept. 30th. Cost is $30 with $18 slot play back. Deposits of $50 for the cruise in 2023 are due now.


SEPARATE CALL TO LHCC AND WGA--LHCC presents Fun Day for all LHCC and WGA members and their guest on Sat., Sept. 17th, 12 noon. $15 per person, BYOB and a chair. Games, food, BBQ. Ticket sales start on Mon in the clubhouse from 9:30 to 11 am.
