Updated: May 22
Hello Lions Head South… Here are your messages for this week… Please remember that all ticket sales are from 9:30-11:00
Tickets will be sold tomorrow morning for the WGA’s bingo event on Friday, June 2nd at 7PM. Doors open at 6:15PM. The event is open to all.
From the Administrator’s Office: Please correct an error on the calendar in the Lions Pride. Due to the holiday, garbage collection will be May 31st, not May 30th. Also, Brick Animal Control has informed us that a fox and a turkey were found dead in our community, and it was not due to an accident. We were reminded that feeding the animals will result in a $100 township fine. Also, please be aware that the Architectural Committee has begun their semi-annual property inspections. And last, a revised procedure for Architectural applications will appear in the June edition of the Lions Pride and on the LHS website (click here). Please tear out this page and place in the Architectural Rules section of your Bylaws book.
From Bonnie Luton: Tickets for the Lions Head South Chorus performance on June 10th will be distributed tomorrow morning and again on Friday evening from 5-7pm. You must have a ticket to attend.
From Bob Pedersen: Sign up and the payment for the Men’s Club golf outing on June 15th will continue tomorrow morning. Golf is free and lunch is $5. Non golfers are welcome for lunch. Also, tickets at $5 each will continue to be sold tomorrow morning for the 2023 Mega 50/50 Raffle.
From Sue Wiss: Tickets at $10 each will continue to be sold for the WGA’s bingo event on Friday, June 2 nd at 7PM. Doors open at 6:15PM. The event is open to all.
From Carol Powell: Tickets will be sold tomorrow morning for the Women’s Club Spring Luncheon at Brooklyn Bistro in Silverton. The cost is $37 per person and you may bring your own adult beverage.
From Marge Kennedy: Tickets for the Country Club free membership raffle and 20/20 tickets will be sold tomorrow morning in the clubhouse.
From Dee Kropiewnicki: The Travel Committee will be collecting deposits for the Lancaster trip tomorrow morning. Tickets for the River Lady luncheon will begin being sold the first Monday in June.
From the Community Awareness Committee: Please remember to sign up on the Community Awareness bulletin board in the clubhouse for the CPR course to be offered this Saturday, May 27th at 9:30 in the Lions Den. This non-certification course for a maximum of 15 people will run approximately two and a half hours. You do not need to bring anything with you, just dress comfortably. A $5 donation will be collected from each participant. Please contact Deb Rodgers or Barbara Mortensen with any questions.
From the Recreation Committee: Our community pool will open on Saturday, May 27th. The first Sunday Fun Day with DJ Louie will be the following day at 1:00. Come sing, dance and chill by the pool with everyone. Also, a free demo Aquafit exercise class with Bunny is scheduled for Monday, July 10th at 6PM. Check the bulletin board or the website for more information.
From Lee Bruzaitis: The Social Committee is looking for volunteers to take charge of grilling the burgers on Sunday, July 2nd from 12:30-3PM for our Fourth of July party. Please contact Lee if you can help out.
Thank you for listening, everyone, and have a very pleasant evening.
