Week of May 17

There are three messages from Carol Powell:

First, ballots for the tort amendment are due at the clubhouse by noon on Friday, May 21st. Please vote for what you feel is the best decision for our community. It is important that everyone’s voice is heard on this very important subject.

Second: Exciting News! The Fitness Center will open Monday, May 24th. At this time hours are limited to

  • Monday from 8am - 2pm

  • Wednesday from 2pm - 8pm and

  • Saturday from 8am - 4pm.

Use of the Fitness Center is limited to residents who have completed the training class for proper use of the equipment. If you have not been able to complete this training class, a time will be set up again in the future. Pre-registration is required. Call the office to book a 45 minute session during the first week. Once the center is open the on-site monitor will handle appointments. Of course, all New Jersey COVID regulations must be followed. We appreciate your patience and help with making this happen. Hopefully this is just the starting point with more to come soon.

And last: If you are still in need of the COVID vaccine please contact the office. The Ocean County Health Department has advised us that they are willing to send staff to provide on-site vaccinations here. We need to get some idea of the number of people interested prior to scheduling an appointment.

Weather permitting, the Social Committee will be by the bocce area tomorrow morning, May 17, from 9:30am - 11am to do sign-ups for the Summer Picnic on June 13th. The cost is $5. Contact Debbie Holzherr at 908-339-1053 if you are not able to sign up in person or if you need more information.

The Golf Course will not open until 5:00pm on Monday, May 17 due to tree trimming and other work being performed.

The Lions Head Country Club will be selling tickets for the 20/20 and Free Membership raffles in the Lions Head Country Club parking lot tomorrow morning from 9:30am until 11:30am. The first of 20 drawings for the 20/20 raffle will be held on Thursday, June 3rd.

The Men’s Club Mega 50/50 Raffle ticket sales will take place tomorrow morning from 9:30am until 11am on the front steps of the main clubhouse. Tickets are $5 each with a potential first prize of $2,000. Please bring exact change or a check made payable to LHS Men’s Club. Face masks are required and your own pen is recommended.
