To introduce myself, my name is Dennis Gregory, currently the Treasurer of the Board. Born and raised in Elizabeth New Jersey. At the age of 18, I joined the Army in 1964 to 1967 and stationed in Alaska working as a supply specialist. Upon completing my tour of duty, I became a mailman and was so for 10 years.

From there I was hired by Wilsystems, a subcontractor for IBM as a shift supervisor. I then was hired by Gulf Oil/Cumberland Farms for over 30 years as District Manager overseeing 180 people in 3 states: New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania. My responsibilities were in budget and cost reduction, while overseeing the employment of all managers, holding sales seminars, working with vendors and actively took part in human resources and payroll.

After retiring in 2011, my wife, Diane and I decided to sell our home in Eatontown and try a retirement community. We stumbled upon Lions Head South and have settled on Ashford Drive for over 9 years. I quickly volunteered for the Architectural and Finance and Insurance committees becoming chairman, where I helped with the introduction of a new insurance carrier, saving the community $30,000 a year. I worked to balance the budgets, keep costs down and performed audits. I introduced the stock market investment to increase our income. I have enjoyed being a member of the LHS Board of Trustees to help improve and make positive changes to insure the independence of our community.

In my spare time I get involved with bowling, golf, shuffleboard, bocce and attend quite a few of the social gatherings offered throughout the years. My wife, Diane of 28 years and I enjoy two daughters, 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson and one special great granddaughter and yes of course our newest member, a Yorkiepoo puppy-Dani. In the warmer weather we enjoy sitting out in our driveway across from the golf course socializing with walkers and neighbors, and always have an extra chair!
