Here are your messages for this week… Please note that all ticket sales are from 9:30-11:00 tomorrow morning in the clubhouse. Please check the website for additional details on any event.


From Bob Pedersen: The Men’s Club will be selling tickets at $10 each for a Bagels and Bingo event to be held on Saturday, October 14th. Doors will open at 8:30 and this event is open to all. Also, tickets at $5 each will continue to be sold tomorrow morning for the 2023 Mega 50/50 Raffle.


From Phil DeCarlo: The Lions Head Country Club will be holding the annual Brian Halm Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 7th. Tickets at $35 (or $15 for lunch only) will be sold tomorrow morning in the clubhouse and are also available at the country club clubhouse. Registration ends on September 25th.


From Marcene Talty: The WGA will hold a gift card auction during the Brian Halm Tournament luncheon on October 7th. You do not have to be present to win. Advance ticket sales and prize selection is available on Friday, October 6th from 4-7pm in the Lions Den. Tickets range from $10-$30. Over 50 gift cards from local merchants are available, ranging in value from $20-$70. All are welcome to attend and participate.


From Pat Gail: The WGA will be hosting “Pink Day” on Saturday, October 21st at 9am. The donation for this event is $15, and includes a light breakfast and lunch. All proceeds benefit Mary’s Place by the Sea. You have the option to walk or golf, and all Lions Head South residents and friends are welcome. Completed registration forms and checks are due no later than October 16th.


From Carol Powell: The Women’s Club will meet this Wednesday, September 20th, at 12 noon in the Lions Den. Come and enjoy pizza for lunch and horserace bingo with your friends.

From Lucy Hubert: The movie, “Ticket to Paradise,” starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, will be shown on Sunday, September 24th at 2PM in the Lions Den. This movie has a three and a half star Netflix rating.


From Lynn Adams: The Recreation Committee is thinking about hosting an indoor Game Night Clinic on Tuesday, November 28th at 6:30pm in the Lions Den. This will be a BYOB event and refreshments will be served. Please sign up on the recreation bulletin board in the clubhouse. Confirmation will be based on demand, so please sign up by October 31st.


We wish many blessings to those of our neighbors who are celebrating Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
