From Deb Rodgers : The Community Awareness Committee will continue to take names and payments for the AARP Defense Driving Course tomorrow morning. The fee is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. Please bring your check with you, payable to AARP. Members are asked to include your membership number on your check. The course will be held on Wednesday, August 16th from 8:30AM-3:30PM in the Lions Den. Doors open at 8am for sign in and continental breakfast. There is a limit of 25 participants for this event.
From Dee Kropiewnicki: The Travel Committee has three choices of trips listed on the bulletin board in the clubhouse for the year 2024. Those who are interested should sign the interest sheet. The trip with the most signatures will be chosen. Please sign as soon as possible since cruise cabins are limited. Also, an interest sheet is posted for an October 26th trip to Atlantic City for a Neil Diamond Tribute Show. The cost is $98 per person with a $25 slot play return.
From Bob Pedersen: The Men’s Club will provide free ice cream from 1-2pm at the pool on the July 30th and August 27th Fundays. Also, the Beaverson Blvd clean-up will take place this Tuesday, July 25th. Sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. Volunteers should meet in the clubhouse at 8:30 for coffee and donuts. Also, tickets will be sold tomorrow morning for the Blue Claws event to be held on August 18th. The $40 ticket includes a buffet dinner and reserve seating on the third base party deck, with fireworks if weather permits. And last, tickets at $5 each will continue to be sold for the 2023 Mega 50/50 Raffle tomorrow morning.
From Lynn Adams: The Recreation Committee wishes to remind residents to check out their bulletin board in the clubhouse to join in on our Pickleball Clinic, to be held on Thursday, July 27th from 6-7:30pm. The rain date will be August 3rd and paddles will be supplied for those who need them. Hope to see you there.
Lastly, a reminder to standing committee chairpersons that there will be a standing committee meeting tomorrow morning at 9am.
